Manchester visitor or let's say most of them don't wander, and adventure to explore outside the borough of Manchester and the majority of them prefer to stay in the centre as it is the only place they know. When they do wander outside the borough, usually to Salford because of the proximity and sometimes they stay in hotels or apartments in Salford, not intentionally, and they think that they are in Manchester when one asks them about the accommodation. Also, a few visitors study at Salford University and live either in Manchester or Salford.

From experience and talking to Manchester visitors, very a few of them have visited the other boroughs or know about them when asked. However, Some have appreciated the suggestion to visit other boroughs. They enjoyed the experience of using the public transport and discovering that there are Malls, markets, galleries some lovely buildings etc. in the other boroughs and to cover more places in their visit by using easy bus connections from the centre   (day return) or the Metrolink.

Please find links below for the nine boroughs,  that with Manchester comprises Greater Manchester County. Visitorsin.com working on having a page for each of the nine boroughs to cover them in the site and complement the materials in the links and add  what we know of interest to the visitors to have on the site
